Ann Taylor Jackets & Coats | Forest Green Coat | Poshma

I am a fashion designer by profession and continue to design new themes and new clothes with each changing season. This time, all designers got a project to show their themes with a specific color and I use green.

Why do I use green?

Green color is not often used for clothing. But I chose green color to show balance, prosperity and growth. Green color itself contains many qualities. It is the color of spring and rebirth. And my theme was about rebirth of fashion. My plan was to reintroduce all the fashion ideas that are not found anywhere in the fashion industry today.

Nature related theme

My theme was about nature, which is why I integrated floral designs into my clothes. I use different shades of green for different accessories. Green coat employed olive green color. It was adorned with some floral motifs. Emerald Green was used for the fine jewelry. However, deep greens were used for main accessories. The green coat was further electrified with long boots enriched in sponge-green color. I also presented green layers with different lengths and different fabrics for different seasons. Floppy hats and Victorian hats in various green colors complemented by other coats. At the end of the show, it was to my great surprise that I was awarded as the winner of the competition. Although I worked hard to get the best out of green themes but I was judged based on my intention. My intention was to create awareness of environmental pollution and to increase greenery to offset the increasing global warming.
