Suede boots are quite versatile and can be in a variety of looks and styles. Boots require proper care and care must be taken to take good care of their boots so that they can be used for quite a long time. Here are some things you can follow to extend the life of your suede.
You have to seal the suede
This can be done by using a protective spray that is easily accessible in many stores. You just need to offer a thin application of the sealant and this will make sure your boots repel the dust. Sealing the suede will also prevent the boots from becoming colored.
Let the suede breathe
Most shoes can easily be stored in containers made of plastic. This is not the case with suede shoes. They must be exposed to air. When storing boots in cabinets, make sure you store them in cotton pillow cases. This allows circulation of air and also prevents the accumulation of dust.
Keep cornmeal or talcum powder at hand
During any event where you spill liquid on your boots, make sure you wipe the area with a clean cloth and immediately cover the area with powdered or corn flour. Let it settle for one night. You can then use a suede brush to gently remove the powder.
